Oral presentations
Each oral presentation is allocated a total of 15 minutes time slot (key note lectures are allocated 30 minutes each). Please note that within the allowed time each presenting author should conclude his/her presentation and allow for 2-3 minutes for questions. Therefore, you should prepare a presentation of maximum 12-13 minutes. The panel chairperson will give notices 5 min, 3 min and 1 min before your presentation time is up. . Your presentation should be prepared in power point format (.ppt) and it should be optimized for presentation at 1024X768 screen analysis. Please avoid any fonts and/or symbols that are non-standard as there is a possibility our PC’s does not support them. Alternatively, you may save your presentation in a “power point show” or “power point package” format that offers a higher confidence in sustaining all used formats and fonts. Make sure that you bring along all possible linked files that you are utilizing in your presentation and inform us by April 20th if you require any special features (e.g. sound coverage, special software facilities etc). Even though we may not guarantee availability of your special requirements, we will do our best to facilitate them. All presentations will be given from a laptop connected to a projector in the Congress auditorium (OLYMPIA HALL B). Presentations should be uploaded to the Congress system at least 2 hours in advance of the scheduled time, and preferably the day before. A dedicated desk (PC corner) will be set next to the registration desk of the Congress. You are strongly advised to hand-in your presentation to the technical team and check with them that everything operates smoothly. It would be very convenient if you named your presentation file after your name, presentation date and presentation time as in the following example: Lawson_12_0945.ppt (the name of the presenting author is Lawson, presenting on May 12th, at 09:45 in the morning).
Poster presentations
A dedicated poster panel will be available for each poster to be presented. Each panel will be numbered. You may put your poster up at the allocated number of poster panel as this is indicated in the detailed program available at the official Congress site. Posters will be exhibited at a dedicated room (OLYMPIA HALL A) for the entire day specified in the program for the relevant to your presentation thematic session. Please make sure that you put up your poster either in the evening of the previous day, or in the morning of the presentation day before the first morning oral session. Please remember to collect your work after the end of the last evening oral session on the presentation day. Posters should be hanged on the panels using only self-adhesive stripes. The proposed size of each poster should be 1mX1m, however you are welcome to compile a poster of up to 1m by 2m long.
Please do not hesitate to contact the organizing committee should you require any clarifications and/or help.
We do look forward to host you in Thessaloniki next month.
